Ottawa food businesses making a profound impact in our community

Cooking for a Cause Ottawa is helping a variety of food businesses do what they do best: make delicious food, while making a profound impact in their communities. Our partner businesses, such as restaurants and catering companies, prepare up to 4,000 meals per week for people across Ottawa. Cooking For a Cause has been put on hold as of December 16, 2022 due to lack of funding.

The Ottawa Community Food Partnership is running this initiative, with the Parkdale Food Centre serving as the administrative lead.

We are very fortunate to have the financial support of the City of Ottawa, Ontario Trillium Foundation, Ottawa Community Foundation, and FoodRescue.ca.

However, the Cooking for a Cause Ottawa initiative relies heavily on your donations.

Our Business Partners

Our business partners, including many restaurants and catering businesses, are the heart and soul of the Cooking for a Cause Ottawa initiative. They prepare delicious, wholesome meals, making a profound impact in our community.

Many of our business partners have been operating their own fundraiser, via online platforms such as GoFundMe, which allows members of the community to donate directly to support each business' efforts.
