Ottawa Coalition of Community Houses
The Ottawa Coalition of Community Houses (OCCH) is a network of community-houses located in social housing neighbourhoods in Ottawa, offering place-based, barrier-free services to support residents and families. OCCH member houses run and support a variety of programs: they distribute food hampers, coordinate meal programs and emergency lunches, run community kitchens, manage community gardens, and partner with external food banks. Through partnerships with funders, the City, non-profits, and businesses, they also respond in times of crisis (for example during pandemic periods or emergencies), helping ensure people have access to nutritious food.
