
Past Projects
From 2016 - 2023
Past projects have involved installing community fridges, food rescuing, access to culturally relevant food, supporting cultural celebrations around food, improving good food standards, and more. During the COVID-19 public health crisis, the Ottawa Community Food Partnership launched the Cooking for a Cause Ottawa initiative. Cooking for a Cause Ottawa helped a variety of food businesses keep their lights on while making a profound impact in their communities.
While these projects had incredible impact on the communities they served, they were not deemed to be sustainable within existing resources. OCFP has since shifted its focus of work on supporting the coordination and elevation of the partners that are doing this type of community-based programming.
