Food rescue is the action of preventing good surplus food from being wasted by collecting it and redistributing it to individuals who are food insecure. OCFP connects with local businesses like restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores to help redirect surplus foods back into our community by providing and promoting alternative uses.

OCFP food rescues go to a collection of community fridges & pantries, respite centres, and social service agencies around the city of Ottawa.
